Index Median Returns

You may have noticed that I'm moving into the Big Caps with my latest purchases.

That's because I've been doing a bit of research into the long term performance of the ASX Indices and discovered that over the last 15 years the ASX 20 has outperformed the ASX 50

 which has outperformed the ASX 100

 which has outperformed the ASX 300

which has outperformed the All Ords

Some further research shows the median gain for the past year and the same Indices is;

All Ords 6%

ASX 300 7%

 ASX 200 13%

 ASX 100 16%

  ASX 50 17%

  ASX 20 21%
